We live in the West Adams Historic District of Los Angeles which contains many Craftsman, Victorian, Post Victorian, Mediterranean, Greek Revival,  and other 'turn of the century' architectural styles.  Our home is a 3000 square foot Craftsman Style house built in 1906. Sometime in the early 1920's it was converted into a duplex (hence the 2 front doors in the picture).  We have been converting it back into a single family residence.

The house is located 7 blocks from the USC campus which means a 10 minute walk or 5 minute bicycle ride.  We are also close to Mt. St. Mary's College, Hebrew Union, L.A. Trade Tech and Southwestern Law School.  A major supermarket is four blocks away, and several laundromats are within walking distance (we have a washer on the premises).  We are a half mile from Interstate 10.  Public transportation to all parts of Los Angeles including subway and light rail is around the corner.  We are also a twenty minute walk from  Exposition Park featuring the California Science Center, the Natural History Museum, the Rose Garden, and the California African American Museum.

Downtown Los Angeles with its gallery jewelry and fashion districts, the Music Center of LA County, Disney Hall, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chinatown, and Olvera Street (the site of L.A.'s founding) are a short 3 miles away.

The local restaurant scene ranges from various American  cuisines to Indian, Asian, Central American and Caribbean Soul.
